After arrival, much of the equipment the truck was carrying was distributed and put into use straight away. Therefore we are glad to say that there is a school in Gabu with a new computer classroom and new chairs and boards.

The truck is currently being transformed into a mobile clinic. This involves splitting it into three partitions - a dental one at the front, a medical one at the back and a shower in the centre. It is also having doors and windows fitted and a stage for use by teams who travel with the mobile clinic. The truck has also been repainted white, as has the trailer that was towed in 2006. One of the containers is being cleaned out in preparation for adding a dental surgery to it.

Mercy Trucks has had two YWAM teams working with them helping to achieve all this; one from a YWAM base in Mexico and one from Marine Reach's s/y Next Wave ship. They have all worked extremely hard in very hot and tiring weather to see this work done so quickly, and we're very glad of their service.
