Dear Supporter,

Thank you so much for serving God with us here in Ukraine, we couldn’t do this without your friendship, prayers and faithful support! All the fruits and successes of the Ministry go to you too, as you are the biggest part of the Ministry!

We had such a blessed trip to the Village of Komarivka. (North of Ukraine, 170 miles from Kyiv)

A missionary, Doug, who goes there regularly, invited Mercy Truck to join him. We ministered in the public school; it was a great time of evangelism for children and teachers. In the village there are no dentists. So you can imagine, they really needed our help and our ministry was on time. Every day we had 4 or 5 dentists who came from Kyiv to help in the work. Many children and even teachers were treated. We examined 88 people and treated 70! There were 6 dentists and 9 voluntaries involved in the ministry.

At the end of the week, Doug and his team did evangelism on the main square of the village. They shared testimonies, and also organized a concert and a program for the youth.

Around 80 people came to watch and listen to the program. Most of them were young people.

The Director of the school (the lady in green in the middle of our group) was so thankful. She said the door of her school will be open to us for Bible classes or other activities anytime. She said too, that our group was a testimony for her, for other teachers and for children on how to serve with the heart of Jesus. They could see God’s love through our ministry. It was a really fruitful and successful time! Praise and thanks to God!!!

We were invited by the local church to come and take part in their ministry in the boarding school. It was a privilege! We were able to examine 85 people and treat 70. This time we had 7 dentists and 8 volunteers. Boarding School in Velikojt Polovetskoje, Kyiv Area

During our time there, we had an opportunity to share the Good News with children and teachers. We gave out tooth paste and tooth brushes. Meeting both spiritual and practical needs. The kids loved it!!!

Children’s Summer Camp in Bucha, Kyiv Area

We were invited by the church to participate in the children’s summer camp and to help bring healthy smiles and healing to their teeth and as well as to help the many adults working there.

The camp was organized for foster children and children from non-Christian families. The children came together with their parents. The program and the Dentist’s Ministry were a good testimony of God’s love and care for them. 83 people were examined and 70 were treated! We had 7 dentists and 8 volunteers to minister. A team from North Carolina joined us and ministered together with us in the camp. One dentist, Dr. Larry, from America who was working on the team gave this feedback; “Stephan & Oksana, it was a real joy to be with you and to work with those wonderful children…and adults. They were all great. I’ve told to my wife Dottie and many others what a wonderful experience it was to be with the other dentists from the Ukraine area AND your wonderful leadership. When Bill Mason gave me your name I didn’t know anyone could be such a help dentally and an inspiration spiritually…….”

The Village of Pochujky, Zhytomir Area The Rehabilitation Center for men, women and children.

The peculiarity of this Center is that the whole family can go through rehabilitation. All the rehabilitants went through tough life circumstances. Such children are called “Children from crisis families”.

There is a church in the village that has grown over the years. The majority of the church members are former rehabilitants. Many families after their rehabilitation make a decision to stay and settle in the village. The atmosphere in the Church and in the Center, is all about building people in faith. We were happy to minister to these wonderful people and to become a blessing for the children. We examined 76 people: 41 men, 23 women and 12 children, and we were able to treat 71. There were 7 dentists and 6 volunteer in our ministry team.

Often we see tears in the eyes of these people in the rehab center. Their tears are remorse for their past life. Now they want to live life differently! And they really see God’s loving care through our Ministry for them.

We are thankful for the sacrifice of the dentists and volunteers who are open and willing to minister to the worlds “outcast”.

Our family: By God’s grace we are doing great! Elianna is growing so fast…July 31 she will turn 5! She is a social and friendly little girl, and a good helper, especially when we have guests. She likes to help set up table and when the guests are ready to leave, she reminds them, ”don’t forget to come again”.

August 2 we’ll celebrate our 13 Anniversary! Time is flying…and we are so thankful God for our family and for His plans for us!

We are so thankful to Roy & Catherine for bringing this trailer from the UK for Mercy Truck Ukraine Dental Care Ministry!

Roy Dixon is the Director of Mercy Trucks, an organization that helps to set up medical facilities for the poor and needy around the world.

They brought this trailer for the Mercy Truck Ukraine Dental Care Ministry.

(This was donated to Mercy Trucks by the NHS (National Health Service in the United Kingdom)

Can you imagine? The drive from England to Ukraine and back was 8,000km. They drove through 3 time zones passing England, France, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary and finally into Ukraine. Then the return trip back to England. Starting from Ukraine, into the Check Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France and back into England. They got stopped by the police 4 times, had to pay 2 fines, slept in the car 10 nights and filled up with fuel 17 times.

For now, the trailer is still parked at the customs office, as it must be cleared by the customs before being legally admitted into service here. It takes time to get all the documents and papers done, but it will be so worth the wait. Please, pray together with us that this process will go smoothly and quickly.

We ask you to pray with us for the ongoing needs of this ministry:

-for constant staff for Mercy Trucks Ukraine

-for permanent accommodations for our family

-transportation for the ministry (for now, we bring doctors and volunteers by taxi and also ask friends or people from the Church to help us. Taxi’s are expensive… our own transportation would be ideal)

Roy drove this one full of medical supplies and equipment down through the US and got a ship down to Haiti immediately after the Earthquake.
